i haven't done new year's resolutions for many years - resolutions tend to make me annoyed with myself for what i haven't done in the last year, rather than make me motivated for the upcoming one. so when i saw that Miss Annie of Blogdorf Goodman does wishes instead of resolutions for the year on her blog, i decided that was a fantastic idea, and i came up with five wishes for 2008.
1) obviously, i want more and more and more success (and money) for my writing in 2008. i want to finally see my work on the screen, with my name on it. i want to see my novels on the shelves. i'm thrilled with what i've gotten so far, but i want more. :)
2) i want my perfumes to get a real audience. (of course, i recognize now that i have to scale up to support that, but so long as i know...)
3) i want this year's election brouhaha in America to actually change something for the better. (well, a wolf can dream, can't she?)
4) if i can't manage to do it, i want someone to make a perfume that captures the smell of Hoya Carnosa.
5) last but not least, i want to travel someplace on my travel wishlist this year. i only went to Sundance last year, and while it was hella fun and i'm doing it again this year, it's not the same.
